OK so for those of you who don't know our family doesn't celebrate Halloween. Just a personal choice of ours to skip this day each year. Well this year we have kinda leaned from my better judgment and participated in a couple of traditional Halloween activities. First we carved pumpkins, Dayton had been asking to carve on so we let her. This was hers and Craig's first pumpkins how sad is that? Well Craig knowing that I don't agree with Halloween search Christian pumpkin patterns online and found several. So my wonderful husband made a Noah's Ark pumpkin, and a christian fish with a cross. It worked out perfectly for us Dayton got to carve a pumpkin, not that she cared at all once we started, and I didn't have to go with a Halloween theme. Our next Halloween activity is the school, Dayton's teacher is doing a party on Friday. I don't much care for the idea, and really didn't like that she sent a note home telling m
e to send food, but Craig said to let her do it that it wouldn't be that bad so we are. There is at least one other child in her class that doesn't do Halloween, I would love to know what her mother thinks of this whole Halloween party at school thing. Just to be clean no we won't be doing trick or treating on Friday we will spend a nice family night at home. And no Patti you can not take her fall treating either!

totally different place. I was so excited to see the roof and everything going up and not to mention the Sold sign in the front yard. We were able to pick our siding colors and shutters yesterday and hope to get everything else chosen this week. I just hope that all the choices don't stress me out like the siding did. It was hard to choose what I liked and what I thought would look good. Then to have to pick shutters to match was SUPER hard for me.Plus Craig was no help what so ever, so finally I called my Daddy and as usual he saved the day and picked the colors out. Thanks Daddy. We have chosen to go with a blueish (is that word?) grey with navy shutters. I hope it turns out well. The builder has a month left to get the house done let see if he can do it.

I love that Pumpkin! Can I ask why you choose not to celebrate Halloween?!
I live in England and Halloween isnt much celebrated here - just an excuse to get the fireworks out early lol.
